Since its inception in 1878, Mars Home for Youth has remained committed to youth by providing support and services that afford opportunities for a better life. Through its residential and community-based programming, MHY strives to meet the ever-changing needs of at-risk youth and their families through a holistic approach to treatment.

MHY’s comprehensive residential, educational and community-based services respond to an array of hardships and traumas, including mental illness, behavioral issues, abuse and neglect. Our dedicated and skilled staff create a healing and positive environment for youth to overcome their hardships, reduce their risk factors and identify their strengths so that they have every chance at a brighter future.

VOLUNTEERS
Mars Home for Youth has always depended on volunteers, in varying capacities, to assist in the operation of MHY, and to maximize the opportunities we provide for our clients and staff. Individuals or groups who feel that they have a particular skill, or simply those who want to make a difference, are encouraged to contact Shellyn Shoenthal or call 724-625-3141, ext. 228 to find out how to help.
