Mars Home for Youth (MHY) is honored to be celebrating 130 years of service to youth and families in crisis. Although the nature of the crises that affect our youth have changed over time, one thing has always remained true - MHY is dedicated to providing youth, who suffer from multiple hardships and traumas, with the best possible supportive services and a caring environment.
 

MHY is best known for its residential services for male and female youth, however, over the last decade significant strides have been made in implementing and expanding our community-based services and the operation of our alternative school, Longmore Academy.

Hundreds of youth, each year, depend on the compassion and caring that is provided by the staff at MHY who offer a stable and supportive environment, which most of the youth in MHY's care have never experienced. Instead they have endured a lifetime of abuse, neglect, mental illness and/or other trauma,  which has caused them to react in unacceptable ways.

The dedicated and talented staff at MHY continually strives to ensure that every youth willing to be helped, receives the necessary care and treatment to build a foundation for a brighter future.
