COMMUNITY HEROES

Mars Home for Youth relies on talented and generous community members who continually rally to do everything from paint residential houses to hosting an in-kind donation drive to planning an activities day for the residents on campus. If you are interested in becoming a community hero, please contact Shellyn Shoenthal or call 724-625-3141, ext. 228

MHY Thanks All Its Community Heroes For Making Every Difference.

Featured Community Heroes

MHY's Mosaic Closet, an-kind clothing store created by volunteer store manager Rozanne Matthews, and volunteers Catherine Gallagher and Cindy Stunkard, creatively displays teen-appropriate clothing donations for youth clients to pick from as needed.

Baseball Field Renovations revamped a dilapidated MHY field. Boy Scout, Chris Mitchell took on the project for his Eagle Scout project. Local Lowe's Heroes built benches and bleachers and installed an equipment box. It's time to play ball thanks to these talented volunteers!

Fresh paint for the residential houses. In an effort to complete our renovations, volunteer painters have been lending a hand, including former orphaned resident (pictured here) David Brailey, members of the Cranberry Rotary, Bakerstown Presbyterian Church and New Community Church.
